About

Just another next door guy, born and brought up in Mumbai, India. Since childhood have been fascinated by Science by large, Astronomy in particular. Did attend a few astronomy sessions and lectures by eminent scientists, nothing special though. Have been fascinated by Aeromodeling as well. Completed schooling from one of the awesomest school in Mumbai, St. John the Evangelist High School, Marol, Andheri (East), Mumbai. Learnt the most valuable lesson in life, “How to live life to the fullest”.

The next phase was quiet boring, completed junior college in Science from D.G. Ruparel college. Met a few interesting chaps who were fellow amateur astronomy, Physics and Organic chemistry buffs. Picked up Guitar at this phase of life, was 18 then.

Enter professional course, Pharmacy and this was the start of one of the boring phase of my life, however, loved the organic chemistry part. Graduated and joined a start up, YouSendit. Inc (www.yousendit.com), which is now valued at more than $100 million. Was working directly under the co-founders and was handling Advertising revenue and a little bit of online marketing. This was the phase when hormones and energy to succeed was at the peak. 16-18 hours of everyday work was taking a toll on me only positively. This was the phase when I had decided to become an entrepreneur.

Committed the biggest blunder of life and took up an MBA. This time out of country, University of Northampton, the course was amazing – Organizational Strategy was the coolest, dissertation was on “Strategic Alliances”. This was the only meaningful research of my life. To some extent, it did help me in my start up career. After blowing thousands of pounds turning down a plush marketing job in London, returned back to India, fueled by pretty Indian women and fire to start a successful startup.

After about 4 failures and with about Rs. 15,000 in bank, started Tritone Tech (www.tritonetech.com) with 2 other partners. Tritone Tech is a Mobile applications development startup, completely bootstrapped and self sufficient. Its about 18 months old and already doing $250,000 in revenue. Tritone is entering the product mode and is now working on embedded technologies interfacing with mobile devices. Tritone Tech is based out of Bangalore and Mumbai, potentially looking for an overseas sales office in Singapore as well. I am also a part of another start up called, Farasbee which is a online ad network based out Mumbai.

Music and Guitar have now become the inseparable entities. I listen to everything except hip-hop, rap and techno.

Here are a few Artists and albums without which my life would have been meaningless,
